Dr. NAIYER IMAM MD, MSc
Naiyer is Chairman of the First Medicine Corporation and is responsible for leading the Board and focusing it on strategic matters, overseeing the Group's business and setting high governance standards. He plays a pivotal role in fostering the effectiveness of the Board and individual Directors, both inside and outside the board room for the company's direction, including forming strategic relationships and acquisitions. A pioneer in the field of telemedicine, he served as Chairman and Founder of American Teleradiology, which merged with Nighthawk and went public in 2006 (NSDQ: NHWK). He holds a BS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Brown, as well as an MD from Brown and an MS in Biostatistics from Harvard. Naiyer is resident in the US and divides his time between the US and the First FM support and development center in India.
MILDRED SCHARF-EHRENFELD
Mildred is the Chief Nursing Officer with First Medicine Corporation and opened her first Nurse Practitioner-owned practice in 1980, in Greenport, New York. She has a proven track record of delivering excellent, compassionate and cost-effective primary healthcare to the underserved and uninsured population in the North Fork, Long Island area. She was a pioneer in promoting the Nurse Practitioner-owned and managed practice business model. Her philosophy of care is to empower individuals to develop self-management skills by offering education and support so that they can participate as full partners in their healthcare. Ms. Scharf-Ehrenfeld was a recipient of the New York State Primary Health Care Initiative Grant in 2001, recognizing her innovative and vital services that met the healthcare needs of rural areas of Eastern Long Island.
MARCUS McLEMORE
Marcus is the Chief Executive Officer of the First Medicine Corporation and leverages over 15 years of operational and executive leadership in the field of telemedicine and mobile diagnostic health related services. Among the pioneers in this space serving with the only two publicly traded teleradiology organizations e.g. NHWK and VRAD, he transitioned to LTC providing executive servant leadership inside of the mobile diagnostic industry and galvanized colleagues of various professional disciplines to work as a team to achieve corporate goals and organizational performance.
ANDREW COOPER, ESQ
Andrew is General Counsel to First Medicine, and is a member of Mohen Cooper LLC where he focuses his practice in complex commercial litigation, healthcare, and intellectual property. His experience includes counseling clients in the areas of fraud and abuse, organizational structure, management, and operations. Andrew routinely counsels clients in the medical technology, medical device, and pharmaceutical industries, and is intimately familiar with the evolving areas of telemedicine and mobile health with a focus on federal and state regulatory compliance. Andrew also represents various private equity and financial firms with healthcare companies in their portfolios to ensure alignment with regulatory compliance statutes, and has extensive experience in advising Board of Directors on complex transactions. Andrew earned a Bachelor's of Business Administration in Public Accounting and Juris Doctor from Hofstra University School of Law where he was on the Editorial Board of the Hofstra Law Review, and has an LLM from NYU School of Law.
